1. Rental Agreement
· This agreement applies to all equipment rented from Plantation Equipment from the date of rental until the equipment is returned or this agreement is modified by Plantation Equipment. Rental rates are effective upon receipt of the equipment unless otherwise agreed upon by a Plantation Equipment employee.
2. Customer Responsibilities
· Customers renting equipment for five (5) days or longer are responsible for checking oil and fluid levels as needed. If any problems arise, the customer must contact Plantation Equipment immediately.
· One (1) rental day equals eight (8) operating hours unless otherwise specified.
· Equipment must be returned on or before the agreed return date. Failure to return equipment or communicate with Plantation Equipment regarding an extension may result in additional rental charges and a $75 unauthorized extension fee.
· Customers are expected to clean equipment to the best of their ability before returning it. Equipment returned in excessively dirty conditions may be subject to a cleaning fee of up to $150.
· Customers are responsible for ensuring all operators are qualified and capable of or safely operating the rented equipment.
3. Identification
· New customers must provide a valid government-issued photo ID before renting equipment. Acceptable forms of identification include a driver’s license, temporary driver’s license, state-issued identification card, or passport.
4. Liability and Equipment Damage
· Plantation Equipment is not responsible for any personal injury, death, property damage, lost profits, business interruption, or other losses arising from the use, misuse, transportation, possession, or operation of rented equipment.
· The customer assumes all risks associated with the equipment during the rental period and agrees to be fully responsible for any loss, theft, destruction, misuse, abuse, or damage to the equipment while it is in their possession or control.
· The customer agrees to pay all costs associated with repair or replacement of damaged equipment, including parts, labor, transportation, loss of rental income and related expenses.
5. Payment Terms
· Any check returned by a financial institution for insufficient funds, a closed account, stop payment, or any other reason will be subject to a $50 returned check fee. The customer remains responsible for the original amount due, the returned check fee, and any reasonable collection costs incurred by Plantation Equipment.
· We accept debit/credit cards (with no fee!) and money orders. We do NOT accept cash or checks.
